Janet has considerable experience preparing young singers for school and grade examinations festivals, auditions and for entry to universities, music and dama conservatoires. A typical lesson for a young singer would normally be 30 minutes long and the lessons content could include technique, musicianship,music theory and repertoire drawn from a variety of sources including classical, musical theatre, contemporary and folk.
Lessons are normally given in a series of ten based round the school terms. However, programmes of study are based on student needs and can be tailored to meet individual requirements. Students are normally twelve years or older but in exceptional circumstances younger students will be considered. Please contact Janet for further advice.

She can advise on repertoire and audition preparation along with technical advice on vocal development.
The voice continues to change and develop as singers mature. Even if you have an established and secure technique it is always advisable to continue to have lessons to monitor the changes that every singer faces. Lessons and coaching sessions are available for established and up and coming artists on a one-off or continuing basis.
